Thomas J. Pusateri, M.D.
Dr. Pusateri, a native of Chicago, was honored with the Dean’s award as USF School of Medicine’s Outstanding 1984 graduate. He received advanced medical training at Northwestern University in Chicago and the University of South Florida. A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Pusateri is a comprehensive ophthalmologist treating patients of all ages. He has special interests in pediatric eye care and complex glaucoma management including SLT laser treatment.
Leonard E. Cortelli, M.D.
Dr. Cortelli has been with Florida Eye Center since 1992. He is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Cortelli’s awards include membership in the AOA Medical Honor Society, USF Faculty/Staff Scholarship 1987/1988, and “Best Doctor” awards in 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2008. Dr. Cortelli provides general, comprehensive eye care and specializes in small incision cataract surgery using phacoemulsification.
Allen Pusateri, M.D.
Chelsey Shepos, O.D.
Chelsey Shepos, O.D. is a board-certified optometrist specializing in comprehensive eye exams, dry eye disease, advanced contact lens fittings, managing ocular disease, and pre and post-operative care. She completed additional training fitting specialty contact lenses including scleral, rigid gas permeable, and hybrid lenses.
Dr. Shepos completed her bachelor’s degree at The Pennsylvania State University and went on to receive her doctorate degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry with Magna Cum Laude distinction. Dr. Shepos completed a one-year residency at Newsom Eye in Tampa, FL where she was involved with FDA studies for Epithelial-On Corneal Crosslinking and AcrySof IQ ReSTOR Toric Intraocular Lens. She has a wide range of clinical training, having worked in private and group practices, VA Medical Center, and ophthalmology clinics. Dr. Shepos is a member of the American Optometric Association, National Optometric Association, and Florida Optometric Association.
Rachel Marks, O.D.
Dr. Rachel Marks joined Florida Medical Clinic in December of 2021. Dr. Marks is a residency-trained optometrist with extensive experience in primary care optometry and a passion for diagnosing and managing ocular diseases. Dr. Marks is committed to providing patients with the best care possible.
Dr. Marks is experienced in counseling patients on preventive care and positive lifestyle changes. She has been with the American Academy of Optometry since November 2016 and has been part of the American Optometric Association from September 2012 to present.
